Design Concept
Carlos Slim
Carlos Slim owns the largest telephone company in Mexico and has been regarded as the richest man in the world. He took the money from the society and in return he gives the money to charity to help poor people. In this design the beam represents the society, part of the society has been “token away”.
Zhang Yin
Zhang Yin is the one of the richest women in China. She knows how to handle the relationship with the government and people. She said that it is the Chinese people who gave her opportunity to become rich. The beam here also represents the society. However, different from Carlos Slim, her offices are hanging on the beam. The office is arranged in ascending order which indicates how she started her international companies from almost nothing.
Dinning Area
Meeting space involves the concept of “interactive architecture”. When there is no one in the dinning space the area remains dark. When one of the clients come into the dinning space the window and light inside will be opened automatically. The table which is hidden in the ceiling will come out.

"Just call him Midas. Latin America's richest man upped his wealth this year by an incredible $10 billion, thanks to a growing and diverse empire that includes holdings in retail, banking and insurance, and auto parts manufacturing. Shares of his flagship wireless telecom outfit, América Movil, soared 76% during the year. And his fixed-line operator, Telefonos de Mexico, or Telmex, is reportedly gearing up to double its customer base this year, primarily in Mexico, by signing up 600,000 broadband Internet subscribers. As one of its largest shareholders, Slim was purportedly contemplating taking MCI private—until Verizon bid to acquire the beaten-down phone company in February. QUOTES AND CONCEPT
Quotation
“The very essence of instinct is that it's followed independently of reason.”
Charles Darwin
“To understand God's thoughts we must study statistics, for these are the measure of His purpose”
Florence Nightingale
Electroliquid Aggregation
"God gave us the ability of independent reasoning, so that we could have a unique way of understanding His purpose."
Concept Brief
Charles Darwin
From client’s idea about instinct and independency of reasoning, the space is constructed like being handed on the edge and the working space in the middle is elevated and “detached” with its path way. Although the meeting place seems to be “right there”; however; in order to get to the meeting place Charles Darwin have to walk around his office and find the way out.
Meeting Place
The design concept comes from Florence Nightingale is “Understanding the measurement”. In order to get to the office, the client has to walk through the tunnel under the office. The contrast of the narrow space and gigantic form gives viewer a strong impact of measurement.

The Ramp which is also the meeting place is constructed according to the electroliquid aggregation. The window here is inspired by the church window design. The separated space here is the independent space for them to communicate.
